Paul Travis Markert, 50, of Mill Hall, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at home.
Born Aug. 15, 1975, he was the son of Gary R. and Estella (Raemsch) Markert who survive in Jersey Shore.
Paul was a 1993 graduate of Bucktail High School.
He then entered the United States Air Force, completing four years of service before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1997.
On May 10, 2005, he married his best friend, the former Leah N. McCutcheon, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage.
Paul was employed in Information Technology at Lock Haven University.
He enjoyed golfing, shooting sports, hunting and watching movies, as well as refurbishing woodstoves.
In addition to his parents and wife, Leah Markert, of Mill Hall, he is survived by his children, Gunner (Ashly) Vuocolo, of North Carolina, and Erin Markert, of Mill Hall; and a sister, Becky (Mike) Tolomay, of Mill Hall.
A private memorial service will be held for close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 to offset funeral costs.
