Bruce Eugene Statton, Jr., of Mill Hall, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 5, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on Sept. 7, 1951, in Lock Haven, Bruce attended Bald Eagle Nittany High School before relocating to St. Petersburg, Fla., in 1969. There, he became affectionately known as "Bruce the Bug Man" through his longtime pest control business, where many of his clients became friends.
Bruce was a hardworking man who was devoted to his four sons, three grandchildren, and loved all his extended family of the Statton's and Vitale's.
He enjoyed good food, the beach, professional sports and time spent with family and friends. Did we mention he loved good food? For the past 18 years, Bruce traveled between the United States and Cebu City, Philippines, to spend time with his youngest son. He worked hard, lived fully and will be remembered for his humor, love and dedication to those he held dear. Bruce worked hard and played hard.
Bruce is survived by his sons, Jason (Lisa) Statton. of Seminole, Fla., Joshua Statton, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Bruce Statton, III, also of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Bruce Statton, IV, of Cebu City, Philippines. He is also survived by his brothers, Terry Statton (Mitzy), of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Jim Statton (Vickie), of Mill Hall, Pa; his grandchildren, Serina, Tiara and Brogan Statton; his nephew, Jim Statton (Teri); and his niece, Kristy Nagy (Randy).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to benefit his youngest son, which can be done by contacting Jason Statton at 727-365-9206.
