Eileen "Leenie" Hue Haines, (formally Lohr), of Lock Haven, Pa., went to live on eternally with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sept. 3, 2026.
She was born June 9, 1953, in New Kensington, Pa., to Albert and Dolores Hue.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Haines; and her beloved son, David Lohr; along with her (barking) dogs, Fanny and Kirby, which she adored.
Leenie cherished her family and is also survived by a sister, Janie Eckert; a brother, Duane Hue; three nephews, Glenn Barton, Jake Barton and Bobby Vormack; two nieces, Sara (Barton) Peterson and Joanne (Dana) Stiller; five great-nephews, Sean, Douglas, Jacob, Aiden and Joseph; and four great-nieces, Brianna, Kalissa, Rachel and Michelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Robert "Bob" Vormack.
Eileen resided in Pittsburgh for most of her life except a few years staying in Florida. While in the sunshine state, she got the souvenir of a lifetime and had her son David. After his birth in 1983, she returned to the cold north of Pittsburgh to raise her son with the support of her loving family.
Eileen was a graduate of Plum High School, Class of 1971, and the Lock Haven University, Class of 1975.
In 2017, when she found out her lifelong crush, Dale, was going to be on the market again, she wasted no time to swoop in and move back to the beloved town of her alma mater in the hills, followed promptly by her son.
Eileen absolutely loved listening to Christian music and getting to see her beloved Dale play music. Some of her other joys of life were ALWAYS having her nails done, rooting on the Steelers and the Pirates and going to "craft group" with "the girls" at her best friend Beth's house.
Beth had preceded her in death but we are glad they're enjoying themselves for eternity together again.
Eileen's faith was always a strong part of her life which she shared with others as an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church, where she had enjoyed volunteering and helping the community with such things as the Shoe Bank.
Another cause that was important and close to her heart was charity and giving as much as she could to various organizations, some lately having to do with veterans, dogs and veterans getting dogs.
A Memorial Service for Eileen L. Haines will take place on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 11 a.m., in the Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Pa., with Pastor Rich Wallace officiating.
Friends and family will be received in the church one hour prior to services.
Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the love and support during this trying time.
