Daniel Robert Jackson (Dan) 81, of Howard, Pa., passed away at home on Oct. 4, 2026.
Dan was born in Bellefonte to Clarence Jackson and Isadora (Williams) Jackson on Dec. 12, 1944. He attended State College Area High School.
Dan is survived by his wife, Barbara E. (Robb) Jackson, who he was lovingly married to for 40 years. Dan is also survived by his sister in law Vicki Sullivan, of Garnet Valley, Pa.; his children, daughter Sherry Gensemer (Frank), of Boalsburg, Pa.; daughter Karen Jackson (Coli), of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; son Kenneth Jackson (Jennifer), of Lock Haven, Pa.; son James Jackson (Desiree), of Lock Haven, Pa.; step-daughter Monica Shafer (Kipp), of Gardeners, Pa.; step-son Scott Peters, of Lock Haven, Pa.; 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and several great and step-great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Clarence (Sonny) Jackson, Jr., brother Charles Jackson, sister Mary Catherine (Jackson) Leonard, infant child and his first wife Judy (Johnson) Jackson.
Dan was a jack of all trades. In later years he founded and owned Dan's Auto Repairs for 30 years and J&S Construction for 16 years. Dan was a member of the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church. Dan enjoyed cars, back hoes, antiquing, fishing and going to concerts at the Light House in Lamar. He was a member of the Freemasons (Lock Haven Lodge).
Funeral Services for Daniel R. Jackson will take place on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 at 12 p.m. in the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main Street Beech Creek, PA 16822 with Pastor Alan Eckenroad officiating. Friends and family will be received in the church 2 hours prior to services.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
