Deanna M. Saiers

Deanna M. Saiers, 87, of Lock Haven, Pa., passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026 at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.

Born May 6, 1939 to Dean Blesh and Ruth Heller Blesh, Deanna attended Lock Haven High School where she met the love of her life and future husband of 70 years, Charles D. Saiers. Deanna is now reunited with Charlie for their "forever dance," as Charlie joined his heavenly family in March.

Deanna had a strong work ethic with great attention to detail. She worked in various locations in Lock Haven, including Derr's Stationary Store, Shadles Furniture Store and concluded her career at the courthouse as the assistant county treasurer. Deanna also helped manage Saiers Landscaping: She often could be seen helping the business by shoveling snow alongside Charlie during the winter months.

"Dee" was known for her commitment to family and friends, as well as all events associated with her children, nephews and grandchildren. Dee and Charlie traveled all over to support their activities.

Dee was also committed to her crafting and baking. The extended family enjoyed her holiday meals and Christmas cookies. The Penn State tailgate crew looked forward to her Trainwreck Stew and Chocolate Chip cookies.

Keeping with her commitment to family, Dee loved annual family vacations in Hilton Head Island, where she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as shopping at the Bird's Nest and eating scallops at the Old Oyster Factory.

Deanna is survived by her two daughters, Charlene Jacobus (Austin), of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Laurie Pagnotto (John), of State College, Pa.; her sister, Pamela Blesh, of Lock Haven; her sister-in-law, Gale Fuller, of Lock Haven; three grandchildren, Lynn Brotzman (Ben), Christa Hoffman (Michael) and Michael Pagnotto (Taylor); and four great grandchildren, Preston and Rhett Brotzman and Johnny and Leo Pagnotto. She is survived by her three nephews, Shane Lenker, Jason Fuller, Josh Fuller and their families. Deanna is also survived by many special people, who Charlie and she considered family. One special person, Kent Young, of Lock Haven, visited Deanna during her final days, providing special memories and support for her grandchildren.

In addition to Charlie, Dee was predeceased by her parents and infant twin brothers.

Deanna's family wishes to thank the Lock Haven Rehab and Senior Living staff, the First Church of Christ community and the Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital caregivers for the love and support they have provided Deanna and her family.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at a future date. Memorial donations may be made to the following organizations:

First Church of Christ, 330 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven, PA 17745 or Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745, where the family adopted their first rescue dog, Brandy.
