DEITRICH -- Paul C. Dietrich, 84, of Centre Hall, died Oct. 9, 2026. Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Centre Hall. A funeral service will begin at noon, at the church, followed by graveside services at the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery.
GATES -- Charles W. Gates, 90, of Pleasant Gap, died Oct. 10, 2026. A visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a Celebration of Life service beginning at noon, at the Barbara Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall.
SAYLOR -- Jacqueline Williams Saylor, 53, of State College, died on Aug. 29, 2026. Friends and family will be received at the Koch Funeral Home in State College from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct.16. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, also at the Koch Funeral Home in State College.
ROTE -- Charles J. "Bud" Rote, of Flemington, died Oct. 9, 2026. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, Oct. 16, from 6-8 p.m., at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven. Graveside services will follow at Swissdale Cemetery, Swissdale, Pa.
GREEN -- Mary Louise (Grove) Greene, 100, of Bellefonte, died Oct. 9, 2026.A public viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, from 10-11 a.m., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial services will follow at Meyer Cemetery, rural Bellefonte, Pa.
GOTTSCHALL -- Douglas R. "Doug" Gottschall, 72, of Jersey Shore, died Oct. 9, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, from 4-5 p.m., at Grace Fellowship, 19 W. Ridge St., Avis. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 5 p.m.
KREBS -- Donna R. (Floray) Krebs, 87, of Centre Hall, died Oct. 10, 2026. Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall, followed by a funeral service at the church, beginning at noon. Graveside services will follow at the Reformed & Lutheran Cemetery in Centre Hall, Pa.
RINKER -- Emery W. Rinker, 77, of Lock Haven, died Sept. 20, 2026. A military honor graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 3:30 p.m., at the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
PETTINGILL -- Elizabeth Mae Ferrara Pettingill, 88, or Erie, Colo., died Sept. 11, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 2:30 p.m., at the Erie Recreation Center Community Room, 450 Powers St., in Erie, Colo.
DOBERSTEIN -- Susan Jane (Hoberman) Doberstein, 78, of Lock Haven, died Aug. 29, 2026. Interment will take place at Beth Yehuda Cemetery, with an unveiling ceremony to coincide with the re-dedication of Hoberman Park.
WHITEHILL -- Ward F. Whitehill, 90, of Pleasant Gap, died July 20, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be announced later in the fall.
WELSHANS -- Gertrude M. "Trudy" Welshans, 100, of Jersey Shore, died March 11, 2026. Services are being planned and will be announced once completed.
MONKS -- Elzner Claire Monks, 83, of Jersey Shore, Pa., died Jan. 30, 2026. The Celebration of Life is being postponed until the fall.
