TONER - Janice M. Toner, 87, of Monument, died Oct. 7, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held this afternoon at 1 p.m. at Orviston Bible Church, 75 Main St., Orviston, Pa.
NICE -- Ruth N. Nice, 88, of Pottstown, died Oct. 19, 2026. A Life Tribute will be held on Oct. 24, at 10 a.m., at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 229 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore. Interment will follow at Jersey Shore Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m.
PETTINGILL -- Elizabeth Mae Ferrara Pettingill, 88, or Erie, Colo., died Sept. 11, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 2:30 p.m., at the Erie Recreation Center Community Room, 450 Powers St., in Erie, Colo.
RANIO -- Leah M. Ranio, 86, of Bellefonte, died Oct. 15, 2026. Friends will be received on Monday, Oct. 26, from 10-11 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 539 Jacksonville Road, Bellefonte. The memorial service will follow, beginning at 11 a.m., at the church. Burial will be private.
GRUENDLER -- Joan L. (Spotts) Gruendler, 89, of Lock Haven, died Oct. 22, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745, with Pastor Gary Shumway officiating. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
DOBERSTEIN -- Susan Jane (Hoberman) Doberstein, 78, of Lock Haven, died Aug. 29, 2026. Interment will take place at Beth Yehuda Cemetery, with an unveiling ceremony to coincide with the re-dedication of Hoberman Park.
WOLF -- Matthew Kane Wolf, 47, of Howard, died July 11, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., at the J. K. Yearick Center, 341 Walnut St., Howard.
REEDER -- Dan W. Reeder, 50, of Williamsport, died Oct. 12, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m., at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, Pa. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
WHITEHILL -- Ward F. Whitehill, 90, of Pleasant Gap, died July 20, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be announced later in the fall.
WELSHANS -- Gertrude M. "Trudy" Welshans, 100, of Jersey Shore, died March 11, 2026. Services are being planned and will be announced once completed.
MONKS -- Elzner Claire Monks, 83, of Jersey Shore, Pa., died Jan. 30, 2026. The Celebration of Life is being postponed until the fall.
