Mahlon "Tim" Eugene Davidson, 98, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at Juniper Village in State College.
Born on Jan. 21, 1928, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Margaret Stella (Markle) Davidson.
On Aug. 12, 1950, he married the love of his life, Barbara Jane (Uzzell) Davidson, who preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 2012, after sharing 62 years of marriage.
In 1948, with his brothers, he started their family owned and operated trucking company, Davidson Brothers, Inc., where he remained an owner for 75 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Hinton (Curtis), of Bellefonte; daughter-in-law, Kathy Stanton (Ken), of State College; grandchildren, Jeffrey Davidson (Angela), Gregory Davidson (Rebecca) and Kristen Hinton (Derek); great-grandchildren, Olivia Davidson and Gavin Davidson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Davidson; and siblings, Harold Davidson, Jr., Paul Davidson and Vera Miller.
Tim was a member of Wingate Faith. Additionally, he was a life member of the Central District Firemen's Association, a 50-year member of the F&AM Lodge #268 in Bellefonte, a 32nd degree member of the Altoona Consistory and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona.
He was a former member of the Philipsburg Elks Lodge #1173, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the El Zaribah Shrine in Phoenix, Ariz.
Tim enjoyed traveling, especially wintering in Apache Junction, Ariz., for 30+ years, hosting family celebrations on his back porch and spending time with friends and family.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, from 6-8 p.m., at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct, 8, 2026, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Samantha McElwee officiating. Burial services will immediately follow at Centre County Memorial Park in State College.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mahlon Davidson to the Shriners Children's Hospital in Philadelphia by sending checks to Shriners Children's Philadelphia, Office of Philanthropy, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
