Robert James "Bob" Gallagher, Jr., 71, of Lock Haven, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at UPMC Lock Haven Hospital.
Born on Aug. 28, 1955, in Lock Haven, Bob was the son of the late Robert James Gallagher, Sr. and Jean Meradith Chilcot Gallagher, who survives in Avis.
Bob was a 1973 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and went on to complete machinist training at Williamsport Area Community College. He dedicated his career to working as a machinist for various companies throughout the area.
Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. He found his greatest joy when hunting, especially with his best friend, Pap Bill. He always looked forward to his camp outings in Scootac. Bob was a member of the Lock Haven 40&8 Club.
In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his three children, Julie A. (Andy) Love, of Mill Hall, Bobbi Jean (Chris) Walls, of Williamsport, and Cody J. Gallagher, of Lock Haven; three siblings, Vicki (George) Troni, of Duncannon, Terry (Terri) Gallagher, of Avis, and Randy Gallagher, of Avis; two grandchildren, Taryn (Tanner) Bierly and Chase Kimball, both of Mill Hall; two step-grandchildren, Rachel (Derek) Berry and Owen Berry, both of Mill Hall; and two great-grandchildren, Clayton and Weston Bierly.
Per Bob's wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of his family.
