Edward F. Potkoski, 95, formerly of Adena, Ohio, and currently a resident of Roseview Nursing Center, Williamsport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026.
Born Dec. 5, 1930, in Adena, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Potkoski, and the youngest and last surviving of a large, blended family.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1952 until being Honorably Discharged in 1954. He went to work on the railroad after his service where he became a foreman.
Edward was married to Mary Potkoski, the love of his life, who preceded him in death in 2010.
Edward's religion was of utmost importance to him, but his pride and joy came from his family, especially his great-granddaughters, Adalyn and Ella.
Surviving are his daughter, Joyce (Alan) Makeever; grandchildren, Shelley Matisz and Megan Makeever; and great granddaughters, Adalyn and Ella Matisz.
Private inurnment will be at Holy Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
