Paul O. McCune, 98, of Wellsboro, Pa., (formerly of Mill Hall, Pa.) passed away on Jan. 22, 2026, at Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro. Paul was born in Gassaway, W.Va., to the late Earl and Nora (Fowler) McCune on July 30, 1927. He went to Gassaway High School, and after graduating, he enlisted in the Navy and trained as a medic. After a tour on the West Coast, he was sent to Hawaii where he finished his tour. On July 13, 1947, Paul married Wilda Christine Flanigan in Mill Hall.
