Monica worked at the Avis American Legion where she was an active Auxiliary member. She enjoyed riding side by sides, camping, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Kathryn Grove Younkin, 95, of Lock Haven passed away, Friday, June 7, 2024, at Haven Place. She was born March 20, 1929, in Williamsport to Charles and Helen Grimes Grove. Kathryn was united in marriage to Lester W. Younkin on May 11, 1946, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, babysitter and enjoyed spending time with family. John H. Eves, Jr., 82, of Stuarts Draft, Va., formerly of Lock Haven, passed away at home on May 23, 2024. He was a science teacher at Bald Eagle Area and Stuarts Draft High Schools. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Johnson Eves; and his four children, John (Auri) Eves, Robert Eves, Christine (Jeff) Cronise and Jolie Eves. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Richard Eves, David Eves and Margaret Eves. Burial will be in Lock Haven at a later date.
