Applause, Applause
Each Saturday, The Express community newspaper highlights people, groups and activities our readers deem worthy of applause.
THANK YOU to the person or persons who found money at the Mackeyville Flower and Greenhouse and returned it. So grateful to you and may God bless you!
THANK YOU to the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club for having their annual Knit N’ Run on Saturday, Oct. 4. The bikers collected many items made by the Prayer Shawl Ministry that were delivered to local nursing and personal care homes in the Clinton County area. The bikers took time to visit with the patients at the nursing homes and presented many with handmade prayer shawls and lap afghans.
Thanks to the Prayer Shawl Ministry ladies for crocheting and knitting such beautiful items to cheer us up and keep us warm.

Additional thanks to the campus instructional technology assistants and guests from the community.
Lastly, a very special thank you to Kelly McGhee for helping to coordinate the event at all stages. The event raised nearly $5,000 for the charity.
Sending APPLAUSE to the staff at the Ross Library. Despite a power outage that did over $20,000 in damages and working for 10 months without a director, the staff continues working in such a manner that the public doesn’t realize what all the staff is dealing with. Programs continue without interruption. New books are regularly available.
Thank you!

THANK YOU goes to the Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Mount Bethel UCC and the Salona UCC who collected boxes of Cheerios at their respective churches to donate to Pathway to Christ Church who is collecting the Cheerios to donate to the Care and Share food pantry at St. John Lutheran Church in Jersey Shore .
A BIG thank you to Chuck and Brenda Fetters for transporting the 62 boxes of the Cheerios to Pathway to Christ Church in McElhattan and surprising Pastor Laura and her mother before Bible Study last Tuesday evening with them.
We are so blessed that other church congregations are also helping us in our outreach to help the folks who come to the food bank. Jesus is certainly happy that we are showing love and kindness while giving to others.
Thanks again to everyone for the Cheerios!
(We’re still collecting Cheerios until the end of October if anyone else wants to donate!)
