Each Saturday, The Express community newspaper highlights people, groups and activities our readers deem worthy of applause.

A visitor of Haven Place would like to THANK the staff and all who were involved in setting up the decorations for residents and guests. It’s the first time they have decorated the halls and each resident’s door for the holidays and it looks beautiful.

A great big THANK YOU goes to Lion Denny Bechdel of the Howard Area Lions Club for his assistance in providing a hospital bed, walker and other items that we needed. Even though we had to make two trips, Lion Denny was so helpful and the (free) medical equipment loaner program that the Howard Area Lions Club offers certainly fills a need in our community.

Lion Denny and the Howard Lions truly have a heart to serve others, and we’re very grateful!
