Congratulations to the Clinton County Economic Partnership

2 min read

A shout out to the Clinton County Economic Partnership as it celebrates its annual dinner tonight by bestowing various awards.

The Chamber of Commerce.

The Visitors Bureau.

Leadership Clinton County.

The Enterprise Zone.

These agencies and more fall under the Partnership's purview.

The Partnership is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to offer an array of services to businesses.

As its web site at www.ClintonCountyInfo.com reveals, some of these services include: Access to Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loans; Machinery and Equipment loans; Infrastructure Development Program grants and loans and Opportunity grants.

The CCEP also oversees the Clinton County Enterprise Zone Revolving Loan Fund and the Clinton County Revolving Loan Fund.

But behind all of these agencies, organizations and tasks are people.

People who work to foster the economic and community development -- that is, recruit businesses, help existing businesses so to create and retain jobs.

They also work to identify transportation needs and monitor legislation that impacts businesses.

Moreover -- and importantly -- the Partnership staff work to attract tourists/visitors to the region and conduct networking events to keep the flow of information and relationships strong in the community.

The agency engages thousands of people over the course of the year to promote Clinton County as a place to live or visit, raise a family and to do business in.

And yet, there are just four Partnership staff members: Michael Flanagan, President and CEO; Julie Brennan, Tourism/Chamber Director; April Henry-Bittner, Leadership & Enterprise Zone Coordinator, and Lisa Engel, Administrative Assistant.

They work under the agency's operating committee and also run a bunch of additional committees to boot.

It is worth noting that tonight's dinner is the first such annual dinner since 2019 due to the pandemic. That in itself is worth celebrating!

Tonight's event will see multiple people recognized for their work in support of the Partnership and the betterment of the place we call home.

So congratulations to the Partnership -- from all of your partners!

Starting at /week.
