We all should care about our children and the children of our communities.
And that's just what is happening in the case of Max Engle, the young man who was severely injured while playing football for the Jersey Shore Area Bulldogs vs. Selinsgrove.
Max collapsed on the field during the game.
The enduring image is of the team members on both sides kneeling on the field in prayer for Max.
We, too, would like to offer a prayer for Max's healing:
Think, O' God, of our friend, Max, who is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard. that no healing is too hard if it be Your will. We therefore pray that You bless Max and his family with Your loving care, renew his strength, and heal him in Your loving name.
As we said, we all must care for our children -- our future.
We ask that you summon your empathy and prayer for this young man and ALL children and youth who need healing.
