Yes, Joe Biden is in the White House and for the first time in as long as I can remember, the Capitol looks more like a prison. Joe Biden will be remembered as the president who needed a wall to protect him. We can also learn from him that persistence pays off. Or should I say, that the third time is the charm. After all, this was his third try to make it as president. Biden was elected in a year that was more like a Stephen King novel.

Let us look at what Joe Biden has done in his first week. On day one, he rejoined the Paris Agreement on climate change. China and Russia do not have to pay and are bigger pollutants than the US. Would that money not be better served to work harder to go green? You’re all so worried about going green and you can not even get three quarters of Americans to recycle.

On his first day, Joe Biden signed an executive order to promote racial equality. I think Joe Biden is a little late for that. President Lincoln freed the blacks, then Martin Luther King Jr. fought for their rights and equality. We also had Rosa Parks step in to help the fight. I really cannot see where Joe Biden’s executive order will help something we already have.

After all his comment from Aug. 9, 2019, “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.” Call me crazy, but I see that as racist. Still on day one of the Joe Biden presidency, he does an executive order to mandate mask wearing on federal property. He turns right around and has his picture taken while his mask is in his pocket. Biden signed an executive order coordinating a government-wide COVID-19 response. Trump took care of and did not need an executive order. Biden signs an executive order to ban discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. What does Joe think Equal Employment Opportunity is for?

Biden signed an executive order for promoting workplace safety amid the pandemic. We have been working with the pandemic for a year. Workplace safety was already done. Maybe if Joe Biden was not in his basement waiting out the pandemic, he would have seen that all his huffing and puffing, (executive orders) were in vain.

Except killing the Keystone Pipeline. That hurt millions of people but at least Joe Biden will die a happy man, knowing he was a president.
