On Nov. 7, Pennsylvanians will go to the polls. Some people will skip voting this year because it's not a Presidential, US House or Senate race year. That really doesn't make sense when you consider that every seat from the PA State Supreme Court to the local municipal seats, and our local School Board representatives have a significant impact on our local communities. This election, as are all elections, is CRITICAL to our local economy and values.

Fellow residents of Bald Eagle Township have the opportunity to vote for a Township Supervisor, Rich Fitzgerald, who has a fiscal and managerial background that will be an immediate and solid asset to the township. Rich started as a Recreational Supervisor for Centre Region Parks and Recreation, where he served for 20 years before joining Penn State University. He began his tenure there as a purchasing agent, then commodities manager and finished his 20-year career as Sr. Strategic Purchasing Agent. Rich knows the value of a dollar and knows how to achieve quality for the best price.

Rich also volunteered with the Alpha Fire Company for 33 years, so he is well-aware of the challenges of providing fire protection for local communities and the struggles of volunteer fire companies.

Rich Fitzgerald knows the importance of serving the community. He is knowledgeable and meticulous and is a problem solver who can think "outside of the box." Rich has my vote on Nov. 7; please join me in electing him as Bald Eagle Township Supervisor!
