America today is experiencing a perfect storm of crazy reasoning: international war propaganda combined with domestic political propaganda.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s reasoning says that because Hamas uses civilians as human shields, Israel must by necessity take out large numbers of civilians. This makes Hamas responsible for all the civilian deaths.

On the other hand, rational and humane politics says that if Netanyahu were not exploiting hateful religious differences to keep himself in power, he would simply go into the tunnels after the real bad guys rather than flatten entire cities. He would own up to personal responsibility for any carnage.

Donald Trump reasons that entire populations of evil people are out to get him and overturn his perfect leadership. These include “deep state” federal employees, Democrats, judges and prosecutors, former friends and associates, and anyone not wearing a red hat.

These two brick walls bedeviling America have met up to form the Great Wall of America dividing reason from emotion, right from wrong, knowledge from ignorance, true conspiracy from untrue conspiracy, and life from death.
