On March 29, the Lock Haven Express ran an article introducing Therese Hollen as a candidate running for PA State Representative in the 82nd legislative district. The article appeared to be mostly a direct reprint of a Hollen press release that omitted some very important information.

The Express article didn’t tell us that she is a Republican and is challenging incumbent Paul Takac, a Democrat.

The Express didn’t tell us that the 82nd district is entirely in Centre County.

Hollen wants to represent the people of Centre County, but the Express didn’t tell us that she just recently moved here or that public records indicate she first registered to vote in Centre County in January of 2023. Or that public records show that she has voted in Centre County exactly twice.

It is unfortunate that the Express didn’t tell us the rest of the story.

But it is understandable why Hollen would leave such pertinent information out of her press release. Apparently, she doesn’t want Centre County voters to know.
