I'm writing to express my amazement and disappointment in those citizens who have served our country in the military and consider Donald Trump a fit choice for president. I can't understand how they would consider him worthy of such a lofty position. Neither he, nor anyone in his family, has served our country in any unselfish manner. He knows nothing of honor, sacrifice, commitment or loyalty to anything but the almighty dollar.
His credo: "promise anything, deliver nothing, blame someone else." He cheats, steals, lies, bullies and has no respect for anyone, unless it benefits him. Why would anyone, especially veterans, support this despicable loser? If we are to grow as we have in the last four years, we must keep America Trump-less!
As an 18-year-old, drafted in 1966, I joined the Navy for the promised educational training they offered. My four years of service included tours to the Tonkin Gulf/South China Sea. The ports we visited gave me the opportunity to see how others lived and increased my appreciation of the blessings we enjoy under our democracy. Supporters of this loser don't understand the danger another four years could spell for them, their families and the rest of us -- namely, the end of life as we know it.
Those who refuse to accept the truth and continue to support this man, I won't judge your choice of political parties. I will judge your lack of morals, ethics and humanity -- so will others, so will history.
