Should Pennsylvanians elect a hedge fund CEO from Connecticut to represent us in the U.S. Senate? I don't think so.
Until recently, Senate candidate David McCormick lived in Westport, Conn. He owns homes in Texas and Colorado and bought a home in Pittsburgh in 2022 -- not coincidentally, just before he ran and lost his first campaign for the Senate.
Mr. McCormick owns a family farm in Bloomsburg, where he grew up in the president's mansion of Bloomsburg State College (now University), and where his father has his name on a campus building. He ran major investment firms. How in touch with working people is he?
Senator Casey's work to protect unions, focus on job growth and support for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act earned him the endorsement of the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia building trades councils, the United Auto Workers and a regional council of carpenters. Casey understands that good jobs are what matter most to working folks and their families.
Should Pennsylvanians vote for a candidate from Connecticut -- or for someone who is a native son of Pa., and who works consistently on our needs? The answer is clear.
