Term limit Sen. Casey

David Kveragas

Newton Township, Lackawanna County

As I follow politics closely and as an independent I speak with a variety of people about current issues, especially during election season.

One common topic is that of term limits. Virtually everyone I speak with cites the need for term limits, especially on members of the House and Senate.

I tell them we already have term limits, they are called elections. Simply vote the incumbents out.

Term limits this cycle are especially important as we have Senator Bob Casey who has already served 3 terms seeking a fourth term.

He is like a political cicada, emerging from hibernation in election season, only to return underground until the next cycle.

In those three terms I cannot note anything of significance he has accomplished, least of all for the citizens of Pennsylvania. He seems to be little more than a placeholder for the Democrat Party, voting as the leadership instructs him.

He has been in that office for nearly 18 years now. Think about it, babies that were born in his first year are now eligible to actually vote for him!

Senator John Fetterman, who is in the first half of his first term has done much more. This in spite of his serious medical issues, from which he has, thankfully, made a near full recovery.

It’s time to retire Sen. Casey.

Starting at $3.69/week.
