As an 80-year-old Pennsylvanian, I have voted in every U.S. presidential election since 1964. Over the years, I've voted for both Democrats and Republicans, always voting for the person, not the party. This year, the choice between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris is the easiest one I'll ever have.
Kamala Harris is competent, principled, and -- despite what Trump claims -- moderate. I trust her to protect our democratic institutions, defend the country, and put the nation over personal gain.
Donald Trump will say anything or do anything to get power and keep it. As he did in his first term, he will use the presidency to make himself richer. He is not a patriot; he is a high-priced salesman who cares only about his bottom line.
Think back to January 2021, when Trump lied to supporters about the results of the election and incited them to attack the United States Capitol. While rioters smashed windows and assaulted police, Trump watched on TV.
Provoking an attack on the U.S. Capitol should disqualify Trump from ever again being President of the United States. Voting for Kamala Harris will be the easiest choice I'll ever make.
