When the question is, "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?"
Four years ago was 2020, seven months into the pandemic. The president at that time had suggested first that the whole thing was a hoax perpetrated by the Democrats. (It wasn't), then claimed that the administration had the disease under control (They didn't), and that we would fill the churches by Easter (We stayed home.)
While the real scientists searched for a solution and hundreds of thousands of us died, the huckster-in-chief suggested injecting bleach as a possible solution for the virus. But on the plus side of things, gasoline was cheap because the economy had tanked and demand was in the toilet.
Have we really forgotten where we were four years ago?
