In a Fox town hall with women Wednesday night, Donald Trump falsely claimed he was "the father of IVF" (in vitro fertilization) while admitting he didn't even know what IVF is until a "young, fantastically attractive person," Sen. Katie Britt, explained it to him.

As the mother of a daughter of child-bearing age, I am outraged by this baldfaced lie and his objectification of women's bodies.

Trump handpicked members of the United States Supreme Court to take away reproductive freedom in 2022 by overturning the constitutional right to abortion established nearly 50 years ago in the court's 1973 ruling in Roe v. Wade. Now he brags: "I did it, and I'm proud to have done it."

By April 2024, at least 13 states had pending bills that considered embryos people, reported The Wall Street Journal.

The Project 2025 agenda includes banning abortion nationwide, with or without the help of Congress, threatening doctors with jail time, threatening access to contraception and IVF and monitoring women's pregnancies in all 50 states.

As president, Kamala Harris will never allow a national abortion ban to become law. And when Congress passes a bill to restore reproductive freedom nationwide, she will sign it.
