Everyone is going back and forth about the presidential election. It is important to research and learn the truth from all sides. As a central Pennsylvanian, please consider local level candidates and their importance to your health and safety.

Locally, we have the 76th State House seat currently held by Stephanie Borowicz. Ms. Borowicz has been in this position since 2019. She is a staunch "pro-life" supporter.

Except that she voted AGAINST Pennsylvania HB 0494 which requires carbon monoxide detectors in Day Care facilities.

Except, she voted AGAINST the distracted driver law, Pennsylvania SB 37 which prohibits the use of hand-held devices while driving.

Except, she voted AGAINST restaurants being required to train employees on food allergy safety as outlined in Pennsylvania HB 1869.

Borowicz even voted AGAINST Pennsylvania HB 1512 Ensuring Telemedicine Access for Pennsylvanians which can be crucial to rural areas like Clinton County with dwindling health care facilities!

She just recently voted AGAINST extending the PA One Call law, Pennsylvania HB 2189, an act that has been in place since the 70s, that protects utility workers from digging into live underground electric or gas lines.

Everyone of these votes can be verified on the PA House of Representatives official government website at: https://www.legis.state.pa.us/ Simply type in the HB or SB items as listed above in the search screen on that site.

A representative should be more concerned with the living, breathing, fully formed humans that she was elected to serve and less concerned with forcing her personal religion on everyone else. It's been six years, and her priorities are not in step with the majority of her constituents. I will be voting for Denise Maris. She cares about the people of the 76th District!

Starting at /week.
