Sure, inflation will likely be reduced by pumping and burning more fossil fuel, but, a sober assessment of our president's domestic and foreign policies can be made right now.
1) Alienating our allies with territorial claims on Greenland, Canada and the Panama Canal.
2) Betrayal of our wartime ally Ukraine, in favor of Putin.
3) Cutting funding to The NIH, thereby kneecapping medical and science research.
4) Endorsing the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.
Why would any nation, friend or foe, respect us after all this?
It seems to me that with China's emphasis on science, technology and trade, it is poised to do very well under our current administration, despite all the bluster coming from the White House. Perhaps the 21st century is China's century after all.
