Celebrate the Constitution in Triangle Park on May 1

Shonah Hunter

Mill Hall

May 1st is Law Day, established by Congress in 1961 as a day to celebrate the rule of law and the United States’ dedication to a government that functions under that rule. This was established at the very founding of the country in The Preamble to the Constitution. It states boldly: “We the People, in Order to Form a More Perfect Union.”

On Law Day, we renew our duties to one another under the Constitution and our democratic ideals. And through this commitment to our Union, we each provide for the common good through government responses to national crises and natural disasters, as well as programs that serve the entire society.

The 2025 Law Day theme is “The Promise of the Constitution: Out of Many, One.” It urges us to take pride in a Constitution that bridges our differences to bring us together as a united nation. Our civic lives tie us together as one.

Join us on Thursday, May 1, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Triangle Park in Lock Haven, as our community will come together to hold a peaceful rally in celebration of Law Day and the Constitution of the United States. At a time when there are challenges to the Constitution, we come together to reaffirm our commitment to the rules that have guided our great country for almost 250 years.

Starting at $3.69/week.
