The Democrats have made statements regarding President Trump that are inaccurate, to mislead the voters. Here are some facts.

Failed to hit a 50% approval — Gallup poll, March 2025, Trump’s male approval is at 54%, non-Hispanic white adults 51%, upper income adults and Southern residents as well as married adults 50%, and of course Republican approval 92% and conservatives at 80%.

First to boycott his successor’s inauguration — White House Historical Association states there have been seven presidential absences on Inauguration Day prior to Trump. “Taken together they reveal how inaugural no-shows are in fact a recurring feature of American politics.” 60 Democrats boycotted Trump’s first inauguration. This was acceptable to Democrats.

First candidate not to release his tax returns — Gerald Ford did not release his tax returns during his presidency, Carter released his but kept them private, Reagan released some but not all, Bush released some years but not all years…releasing tax returns is not legally required for U.S. presidents.

First person to lose the popular vote twice — FactCheck debunked this claim! “President-elect Donald Trump is the first Republican presidential candidate to win the popular vote in 20 years. Social media users have wrongly claimed that Trump lost the popular vote…”

First to claim his predecessor was not an American — No, Chester A. Arthur, during his vice-presidential campaign in 1880, was accused of being born in Canada and George Romney, 1968 presidential candidate, faced questions about his eligibility because he was born in Mexico to American parents. Others included Charles E. Hughes in 1916, Barry Goldwater in 1964 and John McCain in 2008.

First president to be impeached twice — True, both orchestrated by the Democrats. The first was based, I think, on fake data paid for by the Clinton Foundation; and the second was the “first of its kind for a departed U.S. president,” all other impeachment trials (three prior) occurred during their presidency. Many questioned the validity. Trump was acquitted by the U.S. Senate both times. Trump was also the first to have two assassination attempts against his life.

First president to have a member of his party vote for impeachment — I guess the Democrats forgot five of their party voted for the first three articles of the impeachment of Democrat President Bill Clinton. He too was acquitted by the U.S. Senate. I believe he preceded Donald Trump.

First president to never concede defeat — The Democrats need to bone up on U.S. history. Giving a formal concession speech in a public manner is a modern tradition dating back to 1896. Before that, both John Adams and Thomas Jefferson refused to give formal concessions. Although Trump didn’t explicitly concede, he released a video about a new administration taking over, left a letter for Biden in the Oval Office and later publicly stated that he didn’t win the 2020 election, with reservations.
