Gasoline rip offs

On Jan. 6, 2026, I went to Hogan Blvd. to buy gasoline for my car. I was extremely disappointed to see gas increased 26 cents per gallon overnight. Then proceeded to downtown to see what Weis price would be. Noticed that 7/11 was still at $2.93/gallon. Weis was the same.
The truck stops in Lamar were as of Monday evening, prices at $2.89/gallon. What is the problem here? Was it because Mr. Sheetz passed away, so let’s hike gasoline? Usually when there is a price increase, everybody goes up. Now it is taking days for others to follow, if at all. The stores on Hogan Blvd., will eventually come back down, to whatever price Weis has set.
This has been an ongoing problem in this area. Sheetz will be priced same as others, but every other week, they will hike prices 15 to 25 cents/ gallon. Nobody else increased price, so eventually Sheetz comes back down. In another two or so weeks, wash, rinse and repeat.
Can somebody in government care to elucidate as to why these mysterious price increases happen? Without the usual spin of prices fluctuate daily. I spend enough for gasoline for work, I know when something is going on. Like the famous idiotic Veneuzula attack. Prices rose less than 2%. 26 cents per gallon is more than 2%. What’s the scam here? Perhaps Ms. Borowicz could shed some light on this; besides what the Republican party tells her what to say. Actually, an investigation is warranted, especially during the past year. Someone is getting away with something. Maybe it is time for the people to know, too!
