Letter response

A recent Letter to the Editor in The Express caught my eye. After reading it, I’m curious as to why the writer wasn’t more specific in regards to their dislike of President Trump.
Among the questions that I would have to the writer’s allegation, “I don’t see how a man who has hurt our country with his policies,” would be, which policy or policies was the writer referring to and how did they hurt our country.
Also alleged was “he has been found guilty of hurting others.” Who did he hurt and how did he hurt them? Also maintained that he was a friend of a convicted sex criminal. If the writer is referring to Jeffery Epstein, President Trump ended any friendship he had with Epstein years before Epstein was charged with any sexual offenses and even convicted of in the past and long before the public was aware of who Jeffery Epstein was.
The writer further alleges that he has used our government to further his greedy agenda and doesn’t care about anybody. What was his greedy agenda? During his first term, President Trump didn’t even accept the presidential salary and as far as his not caring about anybody, I get the impression that he cares very much about the average American citizen in the country by closing the border, evicting convicted illegal immigrant criminals and sending the National Guard into major cities to control the crime problems those cities had. On a side note, after he sent the military into Washington D.C., there wasn’t a homicide in the city for 13 consecutive days which was a new record for Washington D.C.
The left and Democratic Party politicians just despise President Trump. Part of the problem comes from the influence of media stories by mainstream media outlets controlled by long time left wing supporting journalists, publishers, editors and reporters. The average reader of these stories probably doesn’t understand the political motivation of these media workers.
Donald Trump’s real problem is likely his “native New York personality” rather than any policies he implemented. True, he can be crass, crude, difficult and demanding, in addition to writing nasty texts. I’m glad I never worked for him, but I see a lot of positive outcomes of his policies.
