Sigmund Freud once said: “Love and work… work and love, that’s all there is.”
Got five minutes? Go to an AI engine and ask for: 1. the titles of 50 jobs likely to be eliminated or transformed by automation; 2. Jobs that will grow because of AI and; 3. Jobs safest from automation.
Then ask yourself: If AI handles many if not most of every task we once called “work,” how will we meet our basic human needs? What will we call a meaningful life in a jobless world? How will we define our purpose and value when we can’t support the defining role of love in our lives through our work?
