During early 2026 funding standoff and 'government shutdown' over Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) appropriations, up to 8- or 16-times votes were tallied depending on the specific procedural vote. No Democrat voted for this bill. It took 76 days to resolve this standoff and pass the DHS bill, 'the longest partial agency shutdown in U.S. history'. So why did seven Democrats finally break ranks with their party and vote for the bill? They were up for reelection on Nov. 3 midterms 'in Republican-leaning swing districts', making their upcoming reelection campaigns central to the battle for control of the House.
ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons sent a letter to California Attorney General calling on him to put America's safety first and honor ICE arrest detainers for over 33,000 criminal illegal aliens in California's custody including 399 for homicides, 3,313 assaults, 3,171 burglaries, 1011 robberies, 8,380 dangerous drug offenses, 1984 weapons offenses and 1,293 sexual predators. California's failure to honor ICE detainers has resulted in the release of 4,561 criminal illegal aliens since Jan. 20 including 31 homicides and 234 sexual predators back onto our streets to terrorize our citizens. Governor Newsom and his fellow sanctuary politicians are putting American lives at risk. And he wants to be our next president! Consider there are 14 Democrat run sanctuary states.
When immigrants enter our country illegally, they have broken our law. So do we enforce the law, look the other way, or reward them with free housing, healthcare, education, food, transportation, phones, cash, ... Countries who enforce the law -- Singapore 6 months in prison, Russia two years hard labor, India 8 years in prison, Pakistan 10 years in prison, North Korea death.
Five Democrat states are suing Trump to restore frozen funds tied to massive Somali-linked fraud schemes. Nineteen Democrat states plus D.C. sued Trump to keep gender-change procedures (i.e. puberty blockers, hormone therapies, surgeries) available for kids. Twenty one Democrat states plus D.C. successfully secured a temporary injunction from a federal judge when Trump threatened to pull funding from states that failed to comply with severe new data-collection and immigration enforcement mandates. And you approve?
Under the current administration inflation was 2.7% in 2025 and edged up to 3.4% due to energy costs linked to Iran conflict. Remember the cumulative inflation under Biden was 22%. Year-over-year inflation hit a 40-year high of 9.1% in June 2022. Where were the press and 'affordability' Democrat hawks then?
