Shore’s Maihle to play at Lycoming

The Lycoming College women’s soccer team will welcome nine new players when it gets back on the field in 2021, fifth-year head coach Kenny Fern announced on Thursday. The class, which features a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and a forward, adds depth throughout the lineup as Lycoming looks to enter the conference championship picture in its first year in the MAC Freedom after a 10-8-1 season in 2019.

Among the nine newcomers is Jersey Shore’s Madison Maihle. The former Bulldog was a four-year letterwinner with the Bulldogs and earned all-area honors as a senior while leading the team in goals. She’s a two-time HAC all-star selection and earned second-team honors as a senior and honorable mention accolades as a junior. She was Jersey Shore’s defensive player of the year three times.
