LHU assistant wrestling coach Carr leaving to coach at Davidson

Lock Haven assistant wrestling coach Nate Carr Jr. announced on Friday night that he will be leaving the Lock Haven program to become the coach at Davidson College. Carr Jr. has served on Lock Haven’s staff for the past six years, seeing the Bald Eagles’ program soar and have success individually and as a team.

“I owe a huge ‘thank you’ to Scott Moore. He took a chance on a young guy eager to learn and grow as a coach,” Carr Jr. said in a statement. “Scott has taught me so much and his guidance has shaped me into the coach I am today.”

Carr Jr. also extended his thanks and support to the Lock Haven alumni and community for their passion and support.

“Your dedication to this program showed me how faithful supporters can truly impact a program’s success, regardless of size and resources,” Carr Jr. said.

“To my Lock Haven wrestlers — past and present — thank you for trusting me with your development,” he added. “Your belief in our system and gritty work ethic made every successful moment that much sweeter.”
