Local roundup: LHU men’s soccer beats Seton Hill

In a match featuring the top two teams in the PSAC West, first-place Lock Haven’s men’s soccer team took down second-place Seton Hill in convincing fashion, 3-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Hubert Jack Stadium.

Kade Black, Austin Kravetz and Billy Lawrence each scored a goal and, in the net, Ethan Beck and Brady Frewald combined for a shutout, with Beck posting five saves. With the win, the Haven extends its first-place lead in the division, improving to 6-4-1 overall and 4-1 in the PSAC West.

• Elizabeth Shultz scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute to lead Lock Haven to a 2-1 PSAC East victory over Mansfield on the road on Wednesday afternoon. Aleigha Rieppel opened the scoring for the Bald Eagles, as she connected for her first goal of the season off an assist by Evelyn Ciaccia to give Lock Haven a 1-0 edge in the 32nd minute of play. And in net, Megan Miller earned the win for Lock Haven, finishing with four saves.
