SELINSGROVE — It was a chilly and rainy Saturday at the Don Wilhour Selinsgrove Classic and Jersey Shore saw senior Zack Kendall take home a silver medal — the Bulldogs’ highest finish at the invitational — while several other Shore standouts saw success

Kendall won the 300 hurdles event with a time of 40.33, winning by nearly a second over Montoursville sophomore Bryce Winslow (41.21). Kendall would wind up with a third-place finish in the 110 hurdles as well in 15.96. Haneef Shavers of Lewisburg claimed a win in 15.00.

Jersey Shore’s Khani McCray cleared 5 feet, 4 inches to tie for 11th in the high jump competition.

Jersey Shore’s Alison Bilbay was a fourth-place finisher int he discus with a throw of 105-11. Olivia Spotts took eighth (92-7) in the event as well.

In the girls 200, Jersey Shore’s Aaralynn Kimble was a fourth-place finisher in the 300 hurdles by running a 47.71. Jersey Shore’s Josie Gerst took 13th in the event with a time fo 52.15. Kimble also ran a time of 26.81 to finish in fifth place in the 200. Shikellamy’s Jilly Deivert won (25.43). Jersey Shore’s Alison Bilby took fourth in the discus by throwing 105-11.

Jersey Shore’s Anna Sick was a sixth-place finisher in the 200 in 27.35.

The Bulldogs’ girls 1,600 relay team claimed a third-place finish by crossing the finish line in 4:16.08, behind only Warrior Run (4:07.28) and Central Columbia (4:10.46).

Sick, a senior, was a 10th-place finisher for the Bulldogs in the 100 with a time of 13.27. Kimble was tied for 13th (13.41).

Jersey Shore’s Josie Gerst ran a time of 17.72 to take 16th in the 100 hurdles competition.

Peyton Dincher of Shore took 11th in the 800 by running a 2:31.55 and was also an 11th-place finisher in the high jump (4-6). Nina Steppe took 12th in the shot put (31-1 1/2).
