Williamsport’s boys and girls track and field teams both beat Central Mountain on Wednesday to both cap the season undefeated and win the HAC-I championship. The Williamsport boys won, 107-34, while the girls won, 98.5-42.5.

Central Mountain’s Damien Winner won two events. He claimed a victory in the 1,600 with a time of 4:46.12, winning by seven seconds over Lauger Waldman of Williamsport and then won the 3,200 in 10:21.13, winning a close race by just 0.42 seconds over Noah Baird of Williamsport.

Jonathan Hughes of Central Mountain won the javelin with a throw of 163 feet, 8 inches, winning by just two feet over Williamsport freshman Maxwell Fink. Cooper Bottorf would take second in the shot put with a throw of 41-8, behind only Williamsport’s Cordoza Minor (44-11 1/2), and also took second second in the discus with a throw of 139-0, six feet behind Minor.

On the girls side, Central Mountain’s Emma Wolfe ran a time of 14:49.91 to win the 3,200 by almost 20 seconds over Williamsport’s Lola Kastner. Central Mountain senior Macy Plowman finished third in the 100 in 13.52 and was a third-place finisher in the 200 in 27.20.

Jaslyn Anderson finished as a second-place finisher in the discus with a throw of 90-0 and a third-place finisher in the shot put.In the 800, Camryn Bair took second with a time of 2:34.47.
