This past weekend Gabriel Fisher of Jersey Shore, 13, headed to Salisbury Maryland with one goal: win gold from Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Eastern Nationals. Reaching the finals requires placing top 4 at a qualifier for a region (north, south, east or west). Fisher headed to the West Region competing at Juniata, taking first place in the Intermediate 100-pound bracket before taking first in the West Regional. Last weekend he competed against kids from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey among other states. He tech falled his way to the finals winning his first three matches. Fisher won the finals by decision making him the Intermediate 100p-pound champion.
