The event began in 2024 and is held on Desmond Street in Sayre. Pennsylvania defeated New York, 45-23, in the boys division and the Pennsylvania girls earned a narrow 48-45 win against New York. In the youth division, New York secured a 54-39 win.

Jersey Shore’s Isabella Gotschall was the only Express-area wrestler to compete in either boys or girls competition and wrestled at 170 pounds. The Bulldog standout was pinned by New York’s Elona Holmes in 1:37. The Bulldog was a sophomore this past season and went 28-7 en route to a silver medal at districts and a sixth-place medal at the regional tournament.

In youth competition, Jersey Shore’s Brantley Shaffer competed for Pennsylvania. He wrestled at 105 pounds and secured an ultimate tiebreaker win over New York’s Toby Bernash, 2-1.
