PA Posse claims big victory at Eldora Speedway

PA Posse claimed the biggest win at Eldora Speedway in the running of the 42nd annual King’s Royal. It was a special week of races including the High Limit Series and the World of Outlaws Sprint cars, and included a live feature on FS1.

Anthony Macri had his biggest payday of $200,000. Pennsylvania drivers Ryan Smith and Danny Dietrich finished in the top 10 on Saturday nights feature. It was the third time a Pennsylvania driver claimed the crown.

Macri took the checkered flag with a comfortable advantage and forever cemented himself as a king. And in fitting fashion, it was none other than Don Kreitz Jr. serving as royal sovereign. The legendary Pennsylvanian became King Don III when he won the 1986 Kings Royal, and he crowned another Pennsylvania legend in the making.

It’s the richest win of Macri’s career as he joined Jac Haudenschild, David Gravel, Logan Schuchart, and Buddy Kofoid as the fifth competitor to win a sprint car race paying at least $200,000 to the winner. It was also Macri’s first victory at “The House that Earl Built” and he couldn’t have chosen a better time.

Friday’s winner Rico Abreu, who was one spot away from writing the final chapter of a storybook weekend. Abreu swept “The Knight Before” program and looked well on his way to running Macri down after taking over second but stalled out late as the laps dwindled.

Thursday’s jokers jackpot race was claimed by Kyle Larson, and Wednesday’s double down duels were claimed by Aaron Reutzel and Corey Day.

Meanwhile at home and seven days ago, Justin Whittall’s rear tire exploded while leading at Port Royal Speedway. On Saturday, Whittall redeemed himself and took home his first win of the 2025 season. Mike Thompson would hold on for the second spot and Blane Heimbach would steal the third spot away from Garrett Bard at the finish line. Gerard McIntyre would claim hard charger honors for passing 10 cars and finishing in ninth and Jake Karklin was the night’s Classics Warrior Award recipient.

The 358 sprint cars returned to Port Royal Speedway for the first time in more than five years and their feature event made up for the lost time. Ayden Hare passed Derek Locke with two laps remaining to claim the win on Saturday night.

Doug Dodson would pick up the win in PA Sprint Series 305 sprint car competition. Josh Spicer would finish in second and Mike Melair would round out the top 3. Port Royal Speedway will not be in competition on Saturday as they allow their drivers to take the week off or compete at other tracks.

After a rain delay started things off on Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway, it was TJ Stutts who parked it in victory lane.

The Super Sportsman made their one and only appearance of the 2025 season at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night, and it was Russ Mitten who made the most of it, leading wire-to-wire to score the feature victory. Lincoln Speedway is off this Saturday.

On Friday night, Troy Wagaman Jr. throttled Mike Heffner’s No. 27 to the sprint car win at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, scoring a clean sweep of the evening by setting fast time, winning his heat, the dash and the 25-lap main event in the World of Outlaws tune-up.

Including $300 for fast time, Wagaman took $6,300 back to his hometown of Hanover for his fourth career win at the historic oval. In twin 358 sprint mains, Hanover’s Dylan Norris took home the loot in both features.

Starting at $3.69/week.
