119 119 LHU student-athletes honored with D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award
Lock Haven celebrated the academic success of its student-athletes as 119 Bald Eagles were named recipients of the 2024-25 Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award.
The prestigious national honor, now in its 18th year, recognizes the academic accomplishments of NCAA Division II student-athletes. This year marked a record for the D2 ADA, as more than 22,000 student-athletes from 202 institutions nationwide were recognized–the highest totals in the history of the program.
Lock Haven led by example in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), with 119 student-athletes earning the distinction. To qualify, student-athletes maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, completed at least two years of college coursework, and competed as active members of an intercollegiate team in the previous academic year.
This year, the PSAC had the highest number of honorees among conferences, with 2,051 student-athletes recognized across its member institutions.
The achievement underscores Lock Haven’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.
