CM golf wins home opener with complete effort

On Tuesday afternoon, the Central Mountain golf team hosted Shamokin for its home opener at Clinton Country Club.
Behind strong showings from seniors Michael Lodek and Reese Walizer, it was able to take home the team victory, scoring a 163 to Shamokin’s 198. Lodek was the medalist of the match, posting an even par 37. Reese Waliser was close behind with a score of 39. For Shamokin, Cru Schroyer led the way with a 43.
In terms of individual scores, it was a strong combine effort for the Wildcats. Behind Lodek and Walizer, Blake Walker was next in line with a 42, Nolen Karstetter scored a 45, Kai Fravel a 47 and Tucker Brungart a 50. Of its best four, none scored below a 45.
On Shamokin’s side, the best four went as follows: Schroyer 43, Landon Kramer 45, Nate Erdman 57 and Braxton Haupt 59.
