Former CM coached named Lyco XC interim coach
Former Central Mountain coach Dylan Geraty will serve as Lycoming College’s interim cross country coach for the 2025 season, director of athletics Mike Clark.
“We’re really thankful that Dylan was pro-active and decided he would like to step into the role as cross country coach for the 2025 season,” Clark said. “We’ve always known that he has a keen interest in helping athletes improve and get stronger and faster. Combined with his love for running, we think Dylan will continue to do the work that can allow our cross country student-athletes to improve throughout this season.”
Geraty served as Central Mountain High School’s coach in 2022. He also worked with the school’s track and field team, working with the team’s sprinters.
Geraty graduated from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education in 2019. He received a Master of Science in applied exercise science with a concentration in sport performance and injury prevention from Pennsylvania Western University California in 2023.
Geraty joined Lycoming in the strength and conditioning department in the 2023-24 academic year, earning a promotion to head strength and conditioning coach in June 2024, where he designs comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for more than 400 athletes, supervises athlete development, and encourages health and safety standards within the athletic department.
Geraty will be assisted by Tamara Pavlov, who is entering her seventh year as an assistant coach with the Warriors.
The Lycoming cross country team’s open the 2025 season on Friday, Aug. 29, at the Misericordia Invitational at 6 p.m.
