Local roundup: Bucktail girls tennis blanks NPL, drops 11 combined games
The Bucktail girls tennis team put together strong showing overall on Thursday, blanking North Penn-Liberty, 5-0, while dropping a combined 11 games. Kendall Wagner posted a clean sweep on Singles Court 2, defeating NPL’s Elyna Booth, 6-0, 6-0. Lola English logged a gentlemen’s sweep on Singles Court 3, and No. 2 doubles duo Riley Salizzoni and Carrie Ditty did the same, dropping just one game in their second set.
The Lock Haven field hockey team fell to Indiana University 12-0 on the road on Friday. Goalkeeper Kelsey Felix finished with a game-high 19 saves, matching her career-high set in a game against Bucknell last season. Felix owns the top three spots for single-game save totals over the last two decades.
