Local roundup: LHU golf finishes third in road tri-meet
The Lock Haven golf team traveled to Selinsgrove to compete in a tri-match against Susquehanna and Bloomsburg, hosted at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club on Sunday. It finished with a total team score of 385. Susquehanna finished with the best score of 328, while Bloomsburg came in second with a score of 345.
Skylar Pentz and Hannah Kopac led the way for The Haven with scores of 94 and 95 to finish 12th and 13th overall respectively.Macy Trostle and Morgan Gerringer tied for 15th with a pair of 98s, while Bree Johnson, Sydney Hamilton and Olivia Hutton rounded out the group with final scores of 109.
The Lock Haven tennis team hosted Penn State Altoona in a non-conference match at the Lock Haven Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon. PSU Altoona won the match by a score of 5-2.
Megan Ferris and Alaina Marchioni teamed up at No. 1 doubles to take down Caitlin Blessel and Rachel Stricek by a score of 6-2, granting the Bald Eagles their only doubles point on the day. In singles play, Ferris earned her second victory of the day with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Blessel in No. 1 singles.
