Lock Haven football loses to Indiana (Pa.) on the road
INDIANA, Pa. – The Lock Haven football team (1-1) fell to Indiana (Pa.), 42-10, on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday’s contest was an early-season Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern vs. Western Division crossover game, which will not count towards either school’s conference record.
Lock Haven moves to 1-1 overall after opening its 2025 season with a 16-13 victory at home over Glenville State on September 6.
IUP’s offense was clicking right from the kickoff and the Crimson Hawks carried a 28-10 advantage into the break.
The Crimson Hawks didn’t punt in the first half, but it was still The Haven defense that came away with the big play, as Troy Miller scored the Bald Eagles’ first touchdown off a 70-yard interception return midway through the second quarter.
Caden Bauer rounded out the scoring for The Haven in the first half with a booming 42-yard field goal.
In the second half, IUP tacked on 14 points and held Lock Haven scoreless to secure the victory.
Markel Morgan led the Bald Eagles’ defense with a career-high 11 tackles (six solo) and one pass breakup. Rocco Daugherty added seven tackles (five solo).
LucRichard Rameau, Benjamin Carey and JahCure Maxam each recorded a sack, for a total of 24 yards.
Quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky threw for 130 yards, completing 12 of 26 passes. Justin Popovich was his go-to target, hauling in six catches for 71 yards.
Lock Haven remains on the road and will visit California (Pa.) for its final non-conference game on Saturday (Sept. 20) at noon.
