Of those selections, Bald Eagle Area senior Gage Gardner and Bellefonte senior Logan Rarrick led the way, with Gardner earning two selections as a first teamer at center and defensive tackle and Rarrick doing the same as an offensive tackle and defensive end. Bald Eagle Area led the area with four first-team selections while Bellefonte led overall with eight.

Four other area athletes took up multiple all-star slots in Bald Eagle Area’s Grady Fisher, Penns Valley’s Spencer Althouse and Bellefonte’s Ashten Howell and Jackson Long, with Fisher earning three.

Fisher earned first-team honors at punter, second-team honors at cornerback and was named an honorable mention as an offensive athlete. Althouse earned first-team honors at returner and was named an honorable mention at wide receiver. Howell was named to the second team at wide receiver and an honorable mention as a defensive athlete. Long took home second-team honors as a returner and was named an honorable mention at defensive back.

Gardner, Rarrick and Fisher were joined by three other area athletes on the first team, with Bald Eagle Area junior Luke Hosband (defensive back) and Penns Valley’s Carter Ironside (quarterback) and Flether Ironside (defensive back) all being named to the LHAC first team.

TIM WEIGHT/For The Express Bellefonte’s Logan Rarick (50) was named a first-team Laurel Highlands All-Conference all-star selection this year in football at two positions, one of two area athletes to garner two first-team honors along wtih Bald Eagle Area’s Gage Gardner.

Rounding out the LHAC second team, which featured five area selections, were Bellefonte’s Carson Crawford and Penns Valley’s Shane Rimmey. Crawford was named a second teamer at linebacker after leading the team by a wide margin in tackles. And Rimmey earned second-team honors at defensive tackle.

And on an honorable mention squad that featured eight area selections, Penns Valley’s Spencer Althouse (wide receiver), Bald Eagle Area’s Jackson Millward (kicker) and Drew Nagle (linebacker) and Bellefonte’s Caleb Bartley (punter) and Ian Valimont (defensive tackle) rounded things out.
