Local roundup: Bald Eagle boys basketball falls to Penn Cambria at home, 66-40

Rough first and third quarters put Bald Eagle Area boys basketball in a bind it couldn’t overcome on Friday, as it fell to Penn Cambria, 66-40, at home. The team fell behind 19-10 through one. And after putting together a strong second, it was outscored 22-6 through the third.

James Cowan led the Eagles with 12 points, and Jayden Yeaney added eight, with no other BEA player scoring more than five on the night.

Jersey Shore lost to Shikellamy, 64-54. Carson Watkins scored 16 points for the Bulldogs, Tucker Hana scored 14 and Jacob Lorson added 13. A seven-point second quarter hurt Jerey Shore as Shikellamy scored 22 to take a 38-21 lead into the break.
